Finally, a legitimate reason to haul out my copy of the Spice World game for the PS. The one where I can remix “Wannabe” into a five minute long repetition of “Tell me what you want what you really really want/I’ll tell you what I want what I really really want/IwannaIwannaIwannaIwanna”. The one where you can make the mantis-like avatar SGs say “girl power” over and over again by clicking on them during the set up screen, an activity that amused me more than anything else in the game and may well have been a contributing factor in the break-up of my eleven-year-long relationship (in all fairness he laughed at it too, at least for the first dozen times).

Thank goddess that this hydra of banality is going to return soon. I only hope they tour/team up with the Monkees. Who wouldn’t want to see the Spice Monkees live?
