Onward, ever onward…

For someone who feels like they don’t have a career, right now I’m getting a lot of exposure:

Two shows in New York: “White” at the ICP, and “Log Cabin” at Artists Space

A show in San Francisco, “Hairy Bodies” at the Lab

and perhaps most importantly, this:

  1. Sigh I sometimes think when you feel like you least have something thats when your belly deep.
Like the quiet in the center of the hurricane, you can hear a pin drop.
Still have to get to the show hell have to get to my fathers opening this thursday. God all the flaming wine and cheese

  3. A great convocation. Nice to see Michael Mitchell’s work in the mix (it looks even better with more than 15 watts). Congrats.

    A few minor quibbles:

I would have liked to see your statement/essay clearly dated (month and year) for context in the future, since anything in cyberspace has a half-life slightly less than that of plutonium.

Since this show exists only on the web, somewhat larger reproductions would have been nice.

And “makeover” is acceptable as a single word, according to the American Heritage Dictionary.

    Once again, kudos.

  5. Roll up indeed – it seems that for some reason every one was touching the piece that they weren’t supposed to and neglecting mine – I mean it’s called “Stand-in ” after all – proves that even my surrugate can’t get lucky at an opening.

And let me say Thank You for my delightful mail surprise!

  7. see, NOW you tell me. and here i was being all respectful.

but wouldn’t you love THAT phonecall.

“HI, uh, Mr. Blake? We… uh… a poet was doing unseemly things to your Stand-in!” πŸ˜‰

  9. Great to see not only the work, but the sensibility, which seems to be mostly absent right now except for a few virtually unheard voices. Very fine selection, and nice to see relations between today and the 80’s.
