Pictures from Saturday

See today’s earlier post for the background information on these
At first, there seemed to be some confusion about what was barbeque and what wasn’t:

Later there was time for puffing and smirking:

Taking a picture of thornyc provides the excuse for snapping one of another delectable, if surly, man:

Float from the hindu parade:

And finally me, in blissful puffing mode:

  1. you three are beautiful together – I assume the tight red goatee and sparkly eyes is badfaggot? yes? πŸ˜‰

    most wonderful. πŸ™‚

    mmmmmmm pipebears…. mmmmmmmm

  2. it would be wonderful to be closer to be able to get to know the three of you better in person – it’s hard 2000 miles away and only knowing ya’ll from your journals. when you see Thor next – please remind him of the idea for writing an essay around his SM in Film for Versimilitude?

You are all just far too woofy for this little rural bear’s mind to wrap around.

    WOOF!

  3. New York, sunshine in the park, studly bears, tobacco. Downright idyllic – bikerbear heaven, if you ask me.

Is that a Partagas I spy in Thor’s pocket, or was he just happy to see you?

  4. thats just as fall term starts ramping up in these parts – or I’d come runnin’ in a heartbeat. I start my MFA in Fine Art – Graphic Design this fall – so must focus.

Plus – my novel (about a polyamorous spiritual pipebear/leatherbear household) is in final rewrites and due to the publisher October 1.

No rest for the wicked I ‘spose. πŸ™‚

  5. Very interesting. You look more southern than I suspected with those britches. :-)) You don’t look too overweight. How much weight are you supposed to lose?

  6. Since I’m a neurotic New Yorker aspiring to Bubbah-dom, your comment warms my heart! And actually I have lost about 35 pounds from where I started out a couple of months ago. That was about as much as I was supposed to lose, but since I’m concentrating on the numbers in the blood work, I’ll probably end up losing more.

  7. OBJECTS IN PHOTO ARE LARGER THAN THEY APPEAR

Cuban Parejo Epicure in maduro, 6″ x 60 ring.

But I was indeed happy to see the elusive Nayland.

  8. I did actually register a domain name, “nakedlybanal.com” (thanks Thor for the anagram) and find a host (thanks irishbeard for the advice). Now the problem is to construct the site. Yesterday I finally went ad got myself the academic version of studiomx, which includes freehand, flash, dreamweaver and a bunch of other crap. So maybe in the 6 or seven spare minutes I have a day I can get to work on it.

  11. Such a trio of head-turners! Despite what you may have read in my previous journal entries, I’m only moving to the city to worship y’all.

  12. I think that first pic may be my all-time favorite pic of Thor. πŸ™‚

It really was a nice afternoon. I’m glad I spent it with you both.

  13. Re: That first photo…

Awesome link, Anthony! Copy/pasted from that article:

In all, she and her colleagues nominated five conspicuous, lasting behaviors to be considered as social traditions in the monkeys. All of them were playful activities: the hair-in-mouth game; the fingers-in-noses pastime, which the scientists call hand-sniffing; the sucking of a companion’s body parts, such as fingers, tails, or ears; a finger-in-mouth game; and a game in which a pair of monkeys use their teeth to pass an object, such as a stick or pebble, back and forth.

I’ll say sucking of a companion’s body parts counts as a playful activity! However, all this begs the question; does blogging counts as a primate cultural activity alongside these Capuchin social innovations?

  14. Re: That first photo…

It’s a cultural activity, it’s done by primates… hmmm, could it be a primate cultural activity? I’m sure that certain academics would debate that question for hours. πŸ˜‰
