Loony Tombs and Merry Maladies

My senior project exhibition for my final year at Bard, built over a period of two weeks within what had been the black box theater in Preston on Bard’s campus. Many of the individual elements had been made over the previous year, but this marked my first effort at orchestrating them into one overall installation, a piece that took its cues from environments like fun houses and the work of the artists Judy Pfaff and Jonathan Borofsky. Within the larger, darkened and more chaotic environment, I constructed a simple central study/observatory/reading room where one could sit and look through a book that contained my notes and drawings for the main room. In the outside space were a series of stations. This sequence of images mimics your point of view as you enter, walk to the study, and then continue through the rest of the space.
